A Tirol cheese speciality made from the finest Tirolean alpine farm milk. Weinzirler is left to ripen for at least six months, during which it develops its distinctive strong and piquant flavour. The cheese is then refined with red wine for a further two days, which gives it its special taste and dark-red rind. With 50% fat in dry matter (FDM), it also has a particularly creamy texture. Weinzirler is the perfect addition to any cheese platter and is best served with full-bodied Austrian red wines.
We recommend serving it with spicy, full-bodied white wines such as Grüner Veltliner, Riesling or Muskateller.
